The delegation 2013 is proud to represent three countries in a variety of exciting committees.

Harvard World Model United Nations is an international conference uniting students from all over the world in putting their interest in politics and diplomacy into practice. As one of the biggest Model United Nations conferences in the world, Harvard WorldMUN engages more than 2000 students from 65+ countries in debates on current international issues, following the actual rules of the United Nations and leading up to negotiating comprehensive resolutions.

The conference offers young future leaders an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international negotiating, debating and team work. Harvard WorldMUN is not only a unique chance for professional development, but also for personal growth through taking responsibility for the project independently run by the participants with the help of their advisors.

The delegates of the University of Heidelberg are selected after a comprehensive application process , and work together for several months to prepare for the conference. Apart from weekly training meetings, the students acquire the skills to succeed and to shine at the conference in several full day training sessions with experts, and gather first-hand experience during the University of Heidelberg’s own Model United Nations Conference. Working on specialized projects gives the delegates many opportunities to shape the work of the delegation by contributing from their individual and diverse sets of skills while building on WorldMUN Heidelberg’s rich expertise.

The 22nd Harvard WorldMUN conference will be held from March 18-22, 2013 in Melbourne, Australia. The application process for the University of Heidelberg's delegation consisted of a written application, to be submitted by October 24, 2012 and two sessions of assessment that took place in Heidelberg on Oct 25 and 29 2012

What WorldMUN 2013 is about for the Heidelberg delegation:

Our delegates' profiles:

WorldMUN Heidelberg is committed to offer the best delegation experience possible. Therefore, we believe that participation in WorldMUN should not be a matter of social or financial status. Every year, the delegation as a whole engages in fundraising activities and is actively looking for sponsors and partners to cover most of the cost for participating in WorldMUN.
